WE'RE BACK!CYC is so excited to host its new flagship event, The Choose Your Charity Open; an annual two-day charity golf tournament in the Boston area. The 2022 Choose Your Charity Open will be at Crosswinds Golf Club in Plymouth, MA on August 19th and 20th, 2022. REGISTRATION FEE & WHAT'S INCLUDEDThe registration fee for each twosome is $400 with a $100 minimum fundraising requirement for your charity or cause. This covers green fees for two days (applicable only if you make the cut), a player gift bag, dinner on the night of the 19th, and lunch on the 20th (applicable only if you make the cut). You will receive a fundraising page from CYC once you sign up that you can share with your network to receive donations. 100% of money raised on your fundraising page will go to your charity. Players will not be able to play in the tournament until $100 has been donated to their team page. Final payments can be made on the morning of the tournament. CHOOSING YOUR CHARITYEach twosome will choose a charity or cause to represent during the tournament. This can be a large, well-known charity like The Jimmy Fund or a small GoFundMe page for a friend in need. QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE A CHARITY Is there a disease or disability your passionate about helping?Is there a current event your passionate about that needs support?Do you have a friend who raises money for a marathon or bike ride each year who you'd like to support?Does your favorite athlete or sports team have their own charity?*Reach out to us if you're stuck and we can help you find an amazing cause. Charities or causes do not need to have 501c3 status to be selected, but all charities and causes will be vetted by CYC for validity. ABOUT CYCFor those that aren't familiar with us, we are a 501c3 nonprofit called Choose Your Charity Events, and we specialize in hosting charity sports tournaments and social charity events in the Boston area. The twist on our sports tournaments is that instead of all the money being raised for just one cause, we let each participating team choose which charity they'd like to represent, and money is raised for all participating charities. Teams will fundraise for their cause leading up to the event, and also win additional money for their charity during the event by competing well. In this tournament, there will be bonus donations for all teams that make the cut, and a grand prize donation for the champion of each skill level.
