Join Thank Gravel It's Friday and Rapha Boulder for the Far Out Gravel Adventure Series, a set of three gnarly gravel rides into the mountains of Boulder Colorado. Each ride will be around 60-80 miles with 6,000+ ft of elevation, plenty of dirt, technical single track, hike-a-bikes and steep rocky climbs... a far out ride not for the faint of heart. Reach all 5 checkpoints during each ride (plus a chance for an extra bonus point), and collect your points throughout the series. When you register, you will receive a number. Don't forget your number, you will use it to collect your points. The first ride kicks off on Saturday June 11. The route will be sent to all participants on Friday June 10. Roll from Rapha at 9:00am, and we'll have a neutral roll out to the first climb. From there, you can ride at your own pace or with friends, and finish the challenge on your own time. Each checkpoint will be indicated on the route, and when you arrive to each check point, you must find the book, and rip out the page that corresponds with your number. Don't loose the page, you'll drop off all your pages at Rapha Boulder after each ride. Our friends at Rapha Boulder and will have an aid station at one of the checkpoints on each ride supported by Skratch Labs, make sure to stop and check out the task they have in store for you. If you complete it, post it, and tag @thankgravelitsfriday, @rapha_n_america and @skratchlabs and hashtag #faroutgravel, you will earn an extra point. There will also be some Skratch Labs available at the Gold Hill Store checkpoint on each ride but in order to collect the point you will need to purchase something, anything from bubble gum to pie. Lets support our local small businesses! Rock your best 80s attire; neon, leg warmers, mesh, and mullets...best spirited from each ride and riders with the most points by the end of the series will win some sick prizes. Don't worry, if you collect at least 12 points you will also get a prize. There will be something for everyone! Ride #1 - Saturday June 11 Ride #2 - Saturday July 30 Ride #3 - Saturday Sept 10 Far Out Party - Tuesday Sept 13 After the series, we'll get together for an evening of grub and hangs at Rapha Boulder where awards will be given out for collective points.
