About AAPIMHRC The Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Resource Center is a non-profit organization based in Moreno Valley, California. Formerly the Filipino American Mental Health Resource Center, the AAPIMHRC was formed as an outreach branch of the Perris Valley Filipino American Association to bridge the gap in mental health resources to the Filipino community. In 2021, we expanded to serve the needs of all Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Riverside County OUR MISSION Our mission is to improve mental health and well-being of the Asian American Pacific Islander Communities throughout Riverside County with the goal of reducing the stigma against mental health through education, outreach and direct referrals. OUR SERVICES AAPI Mental Health Resource Center is funded by Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health and the Mental Health Services Act grant to provide: Direct support and linkage to mental health treatment, community resources and Riverside University Health Systems - Behavioral Health services for Asian American & Pacific Islander families and individuals residing in Riverside County. Quarterly events and monthly educational workshops, "Ugnayan sa Kalusugan," to promote awareness of mental health topics, symptoms of mental illness, and strategies for recovery. Support groups and community activities and more! OUR PROGRAMS The AAPI Mental Health Resource Center is proud to provide mental health programs developed with the needs of our community in mind. All events are free and open to the public. Ugnayan sa Kalusugan | “Health Connection” Wellness Workshop Be part of the conversation! Engage with mental health professionals and community leaders in discussions about a variety of mental health and wellness topics. Self-Care Saturdays | Wellness Tools & Strategies Take time for self-care! Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact. Learn and practice with us every second Sunday of the month. Kapwa Kabataan | Youth Mentorship Program In partnership with the Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Center. Nurturing Filipino youth leadership in the Inland Empire to empower our community, bridge the intergenerational gap, & decolonize mental health.
