Second Mondays 👩🏿‍🎤🧑🏿‍🎨🧜🏿‍♂️:Second Mondays is a multi-disciplinary open mic for Black people to share and enjoy incredible art. The stage welcomes comedy, poetry, singing, rapping, instrumentalists, and more! It's what we at Gold Beams have been doing for three years. And... it's fun AF! All ages welcomed 🤰🏿👶🏿👩🏿‍👱🏿‍♂️🧑🏿‍🦱👨🏿‍🦰👩🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦳👨🏿‍🦳 Venue - Oakstop 🏡:The event is hosted at the new Oakstop location on 2323 Broadway in downtown Oakland.Oakstop is a Black owned and operated business. They provide workspace and venue rentals in locations throughout the Bay Area.Artists 👩🏿‍🎤🧑🏿‍🎤👨🏿‍🎤:The Second Mondays open mic is open to Black creatives of various disciplines. That includes comedians, musicians, poets, actors performing monologues, dance, etc.The open mic list opens with the doors at 6 pmArtists have 5 minutes to perform on stage.Artist must only perform one piece.If you have instrumentals, be ready to airdrop them.Be prepared to perform acapella if there are issues sending your instrumentals.Your art must be respectful to the people in the space.
