New York-based Plaintiff's Litigation Firm is looking for Contract Litigation/eDiscovery Lawyer and/or Paralegal(s) with 3+ years of experience to join this law practice but, willing to train the right candidates. The law practice covers: criminal, civil rights, civil service law, employment law and I intend to add immigration law soon. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, and/or Paralegal Certificate • JD degree from an accredited institution • As a lawyer, in Good Standing to practice in the State of New York, federal courts of the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts • Experience in a legal department and/or law firm preferred • The ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as required to interact with staff, attorneys, clients and outside vendors • Must have the ability to handle large volumes of work associated with matters, cases and transactions, and work well under deadlines • Strong analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of a professional law firm • Must remain current with standard litigation support technologies and work in tandem with legal team and should be able to implement proper workflow steps to ensure data flow and efficiency at all levels The successful candidate(s) will preferably have experience in or with/superior knowledge of the following: • New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) • Federal Rules of Civil Procedure • New York State Criminal Procedure Law • New York State Penal Law • Document production generally, preferably in large-scale litigation related document production • Create and maintain discovery indexes • Organization of voluminous case files • Review and analysis of paper documents for production • Organization, summarization and analysis of discovery documents • Litigation support software as it pertains to deposition transcripts, document databases, docketing systems, scanned document images, and OCR imaging • Windows and networked environments • Cite-checking, blue booking • Utilization of Abacus Gold, QuickBooks and other such management programs • Microsoft Office Suite • Spanish speaking is a plus Please submit your resume, along with a cover letter.
