Quinoa Harvest and Andean Festival

Ticketed dinner show includes buffet (lomo saltado, ceviche, chicha morada and other Peruvian dishes) provided by La Carreta Peruvian restaurant and live traditional Andean music will be performed by Los Hermanos de Los Andes. Dessert, including Andean flavors of ice cream (lucuma, passion fruit, mango, etc) and dark chocolate quinoa crunch bars provided by the local Panguitch Gem Theater. The dinner show takes place at 5:30 pm in the historic Panguitch Social Hall. Earlier free events include an early morning llama walk, mid-day "meet the experts" at the experimental quinoa plot where participants can experience quinoa plants ready for harvest and talk to experts in the field. Concurrent with the mid-day event will be llama rides for small children and guaraca (Andean sling shot) demonstrations.
