Skip SheaSkip Shea is the executive director of the Shawna E Shea Memorial Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to support and showcase artists in filmmaking, performance arts and creative endeavors with a focus on underrepresented communities. The programs run by the foundation include the Shawna Shea Film Festival, now in its 10th year, as well as taking over the duties of the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival which is now in its 11th year. The Women in Film Fellowship which awards $1200 to a first time woman filmmaker along with a mentorship program to help produce their first short which premieres at the Shawna Film Fest. A micro-grant program of $500 for indie filmmakers. And two scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from Uxbridge and Southbridge Massachusetts. Shea is also an Emmy nominated and award winning filmmaker including his features TRINITY, SEEDS and BEACON HILL THE SERIES. Kyle B. ThompsonKyle B. Thompson is an American filmmaker and co-founder of the production company Red Flight Pictures LLC. Residing in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Kyle has directed and produced films that have selected in over 75 film festivals world wide. His latest short film, Parrot, tackles some important topics in today’s society. The film which is about a drag queen who protects a child during a crisis as prejudices reach a breaking point, is currently on the festival circuit. Kyle is also the programming director of The Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival which became South Wests Florida most fun film festival by the Florida festival and events association. Now entering its 10th year, the Chain NYC Film Festival is a 10-day international event that brings filmmakers from all over the world to our theatre complex in midtown Manhattan. Screening blocks are curated by theme, including Female Voices, Black Voices, Student Films, and LGBTQ+. We strive to build a community of filmmakers and create a dialogue with the audience about the work. Debra MarkowitzDebra Markowitz created and served as the Director of the Nassau County Film Office for 33 years through four administrations. Debra is also a novelist (the Karmic Wind Trilogy), award winning screenwriter and director of shorts, features and TV pilots, film consultant, casting director and teaches director to actor workshops. The LIFTF runs the LIIFE, the Long Island International Film Expo, which is headed into its 25th year this July 2022. The Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) is Long Island’s premiere film community and screens quality short and feature length films, episodics, music videos of every genre from the globe over, and has live readings of our feature screenplay winner.
