The Truth About Donald Trump

Description

How to tell when Trump is lying? Easy. His mouth is open. The Washington Post found that Trump’s false or misleading claims total 30,573 over the 4 years he was in office and that the longer he was in office, the greater the frequency of false or misleading statements he made. Here’s a small sample. Google his claims if you have any doubts. Also read, “The Art of the Lie.” 1. He claimed it didn’t rain at his inauguration. It actually did and you can see the rain falling. 2. He claimed he held the all-time record for appearing on the cover of Time magazine. He doesn’t. Another Republican scoundrel does: Richard Nixon. 3. He repeatedly claimed Obama was not a US citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii. 4. He claimed that America pays the highest taxes of any nation. False again. Germany does. 5. In 2017, he claimed that he had signed more legislation than any of his predecessors had at that point; in fact, he had signed FEWER bills than any president since Eisenhower in the 1950s. 6. Trump repeatedly said he could not release his tax returns to the public because he was under an IRS audit. In fact he was not and in any event, that would not have prevented him from releasing his returns. 7. He told us that Covid will be gone by April 2020. 8. And the biggest lie: He claimed that the 2020 election was stolen without any significant evidence. His lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, was disbarred as a result of lying to the court about it. This was just a random sample. In sum, Trump told more lies, and continues to lie with such frequency, that the only “fake news” is whatever he says.
