Location: Austin Sports Center, Cedar Park, TX Dates: July 18th-July 21st (Monday-Thursday) Time: 9:30am-1:30pm Grades 8th-12th Texas Volley Stars takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled volleyball camp. With school tryouts around the corner, we thought there might be some volleyball athletes with a bit of "summer rust" and who need court time with excellent coaches! Therefore, Texas Volley Stars (TVS) would like to announce our School Tryout Prep Camp with University of Texas players Reilly Heinrich and DeAndra Pierce. Our School Tryout Prep Camp is for athletes entering grades 8th-12th. We will use two indoor courts at Austin Sports Center in Cedar Park. The athletes will participate in both skills for the first two days. For the next one and a half, athletes will pick their preferences. The final half of the last day will be a mini-tournament. Players should bring their own snacks and water. One camp t-shirt is provided with registration. Additional shirts are available for purchase. Camp Agenda: • Ball control drills • Passing/defense • Hitting/blocking • Serving • Setting • 6 v 6 play + drills • Mini Tournament Our volleyball staff will assist each athlete in advancing their skill set to boost their performance levels at their upcoming school tryouts. Coaches: Reilly Heinrich (head coach) - Played in 11 matches and 19 sets during the 2020 college volleyball season…finished with 14 digs, four service aces and one kill…played a season-high five sets and had a season-high five digs and two aces in the win over Baylor (11/6). Two-sport athlete earning four letters in both volleyball and track and field at Rouse High School… PrepVolleyball Super Soph in 2017 … PrepVolleyball 2018 Defensive Dandy … 2018 District 19-5A Volleyball Defensive MVP … 2018 First Team All-State Volleyball … 2017 First Team All-District Volleyball … 2019 Under Armor Watch List. Oldest of five children and really enjoys babysitting and coaching younger kids. DeAndra Pierce - A two-time All-District player for Austin High School...following a stellar senior season, she was named to the AVCA High School All-Region teams... finished with 68 kills and 29 total blocks, including 22 solo blocks playing in a team-high 41 sets...heading into the 2020 season, she was named an AVCA Elite Rising Senior and landed on the Under Armour All-American watch list in 2020...also the district 26-6A Newcomer of the Year in 2019 as a junior. She red-shirted her freshman year in college and is majoring in Human Dimensions of Organizations. Brad Ellis (camp director) – Club and recreational volleyball coach for 8+ years. Coached a 2020 AP Club team to a first place finish in Lone Star Regionals in the Classic division. Played volleyball for the University of Missouri and Midwest Volleyball Professionals. Enjoys spending time playing sand volleyball and coaching his 14 year old daughter. Paul Adeleke – Paul has played and coached volleyball for over 30 years. He began in high school in Nigeria where he won the intercollegiate National Championships. He furthered his playing career playing on the club men’s travel teams at both NC State and Georgia Tech. Paul has, since college, played and coached USAV volleyball indoor and outdoor and most recently helped take a girls indoor team to win 1st place at the Lone Star Regionals in the Classic division.
