FEATURING Sierra King Sierra King is a multidisciplinary artist, archivist and curator living and working in Atlanta,GA. Her practice of art and archiving act as a call and response to one another by utilizing her family collections of documents, ephemera and history to enter in conversations across the collective Black Memory. In all of her art making, archiving and curatorial endeavors, the community is her collaborator. Sequoyah Johnson Sequoyah Johnson is the Austin-based ceramicist behind The Coy Collection. Her work is a distinctive mix between sleek modern shapes with childhood iconography, and it’s that nostalgic design sensibility that’s drawn brands like Free People, West Elm, Madewell, and Microsoft to the Coy Collection for collaborations. After receiving her BFA in Ceramics and Art education, Sequoyah taught k-middle school art for seven years. That playful sensibility translates directly into The Coy Collection, which launched in 2018. The Coy Collection offers a variety of ceramic wares that make you feel good - connecting functional artwork to self love and care. The mission is to empower, inspire, and spark joy in everyday rituals in an authentic fashion. Each piece serves as a lil reminder that your body + home are worthy of smiles, love, and warmth. Kaila N Parker Kaila obtained her 200-hour RYT certification in 2018 from Corepower Yoga. Oddly enough, Kaila didn’t start out as the “traditional” yoga enthusiast-- she actually hated yoga and never understood what this “yoga bliss” everyone talked about. This all changed when she discovered heated, ashtanga-style yoga. One thing Kaila really appreciated was the strong connection between breath, mind, and body, and she valued the deeper connection between those that surrounded her on the mat. Kaila also has a passion for indoor cycling and become an instructor in 2020. She has enjoyed mixing elements of her yoga practice with the intensity of a cycling class and has been able to bring cycling intensity back to her yoga classes. Although trained in power vinyasa, Kaila’s sweet spot for yoga is slow flow. In today’s class you can expect a well-rounded flow that includes balancing, hip and heart openers, and a lot of breathwork. You should leave your practice today feeling equally energized and restored. Off the mat and bike, Kaila is working on her PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience at UT Austin. Sanetra Longno (she/her) An Austin-based Photographer and Film Producer focused on creating spaces and opportunities for BIPOC's thru her compelling photography, Petra Film - a local BIPOC-owned film production company, and RSTRMVMT - an intimate community-centered gathering of events managed with 2 other phenomenal women. Sanetra enjoys road trips with her partner, cooking, bringing people together, hiking, rock climbing, dancing to Afrobeats, and tending to her garden and feline fur-babies. MADE POSSIBLE BY The Cathedral ATX Reclamation Ventures RSTRMVMT About the venue: The Cathedral is a beautiful 1930's refurnished church in East Austin.
