About 6 years ago, I became dissatisfied with Twelve-Tone Equal Temperament. Musical temperament is defined as compromised harmonics, yet almost all instruments use it. I don't see a reason to compromise harmonics anymore, especially when creating them digitally, why not just make them correctly? So just more and more effects are added, probably to disguise the fact that the instrument is out of tune at a theoretical level.
In order to use harmonics, or Just Intonation, there has to be a system in place. So people in the past have racked their brains trying to find the perfect scale. Well, I created zenafone.com, a web app/instrument that creates music systems. Basically make scales, save them, use them, share them. Theoretically it's pretty obvious, execution can be somewhat difficult.
Anyway, if you aren't satisfied with 12-TET, and are interested in playing music comprised of harmonics, you are a candidate for Imogen Waterhouse (imogenwater.house) I'm basically looking for fretless guitar/bass, drums/percussion, or any instrument not bound by one particular music system.
