Description

GRAND OPENING with UGLY COUSIN The Crimson Moon ALL AGES UGLY COUSIN The Crimson Moon is extremely excited to announce that Dahlonega’s very popular ‘hometown’ band, UGLY COUSIN, will be playing the very FIRST show at our new ‘final phase’ location on Saturday, July 9th at 8 pm! Ugly Cousin is a Southern Appalachian rooted Americana band made up of five cousins who grew up in music focused families which largely played/picked traditional country, bluegrass, and Appalachian mountain music in the charming and historic town of Dahlonega, Georgia: Erick Jones, Roman Gaddis, Adam Rambin, Patrick Chisolm, and Derrick Gaddis. Combine those five families’ influences into one back-country moonshine still, and out drips a very refined blend of Americana which is both written and played ‘from the heart’ in the hope that songs born from the place of family, history, and community resonates with their listeners. From the consistent sold out shows over many years at The Crimson Moon, we can assure that this ‘home town’ band is one you will not want to miss – especially when playing the very first show at our new location! The new location is 100 Public Square North, where the event venue ‘The Dahlonega Marketplace’ is located, and just one block south and one flight of stairs up from where we’ve hosted awesome live music for nearly 21 year’s on the historic Public Square of Dahlonega. The great news is that the new location will seat 150 to 175 people via a combination of ‘six person’ round tables, perimeter placed ‘couples tables’, and, in the future, comfy couches and sofa chairs! In addition, initial ‘operational’ offerings will be more focused on music than food or drink, with food menu offerings of such things as boutique snacks, eclectic ‘small plate/shared’ appetizers, and locally made deserts. Our initial beverage menu will include ‘as local as feasibly possible’ beer and wine as well as our ‘historic’ organic coffee house offerings, and a selective offering of upper end teas and other non-alcoholic beverages. Furthermore, ticket for events will be sold on more of a ‘general admission’ basis, but with a guaranteed ‘first come, first seat’ selection in whatever seating section you choose. The good news is that, if you choose a lower priced section, and there are open seats when the show starts for the ‘closer to the stage’ sections, you will be welcomed ‘forward’ closer to the stage, if desired. We have at least another 25 events confirmed between July 10th and December 31st, 2022, and are booking into 2023 already - so please ‘stay tuned’ for news of future bookings of events to assure availability for the ‘closest to the stage’ seating!
