NORWOOD, MA - The Morrill Memorial Library will host a virtual author talk in partnership with Tewksbury Public Library, the Morrill Memorial Library hosts a virtual author talk on "The Woman In The Library: A Murder Mystery set in the Boston Public Library," by novelist Sulari Gentill.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. on Zoom.
The tranquility of the Boston Public Library's reading room is shattered by a woman's terrified scream, according to an event release about the book. Security guards take charge immediately, instructing everyone inside to stay put until the threat is identified and contained.
While they wait for the all-clear, four strangers who happened to sit at the same table pass the time in conversation, and friendships are struck. Each has their own reasons for being in the reading room that morning; it just happens that one is a murderer.
The announcement referred to the book as "a sharply thrilling read."
"'The Woman in the Library' is an unexpectedly twisty literary adventure that examines the complicated nature of friendship and shows us that words can be the most treacherous weapons of all," according to the release.
Registration for this program is required. Attendees can sign up to attend virtually via the library calendar at norwoodlibrary.org/morrillcalendar, or by calling the reference desk at 781-769-0200 x2. Zoom details will come from the Tewksbury Public Library, the hosting institution.
