Juneteenth commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. Join us to celebrate Juneteenth! The celebration will feature guest speakers, live art & performances, delicious food by Aunt Mabel's Catering, networking, and music! There will also be merchandise and raffle tickets for purchase. COVID-19 GUIDANCE We ask that you provide proof of vaccination or a negative covid test taken 24-48 hours before the event.
