Unity of Phoenix (Non-profit/Church) is looking for a Maintenance Tech/Porter whose primary responsibility is to endure that all aspects of the property look clean, well-maintained at all times and functioning behind the scenes at all times. General Responsibilities * Policing the grounds and parking areas * Basic maintenance, plumbing skills and custodial tasks * Change HVAC air filters * Move, set-up, break down buffet tables, chairs for weekly classes and special events, as needed. * Maintain curb appeal at a pristine level and the overall maintenance of the Administrative/Sanctuary buildings, community, parking, fountains, and grounds area. * Completing service requests in a timely manner * Minor maintenance: change light bulbs, paint curbs, perform light checks, sweeping, wiping down lawn furniture tables/chairs, placing, removing seat cushions, climbing ladders to replace light bulbs, clean roofs, etc. Qualifications Must be able to speak, read and write in English and understand abbreviations on internal room request forms and service requests. You provide a smart phone and able to log in/out work time with ADP app. High School diploma or GED Be of at least 18 years of age Working knowledge of garden equipment (blower, rake, mop, broom, etc.) and basic hand tools. Work independently with minimum supervision. Previous 1 year maintenance experience onsite property management/multifamily/commercial/residential preferred. Organizationally skilled, respect and honor fellow staff members, community members, open to new ideas and able to multitask and complete assignments. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 75lbs and able to move objects weighing up to 50lbs. Working conditions: requires working in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements, working irregular hours, shifts, holidays and evenings may be required. HVAC hands on experience/HVAC Certified and/or CPO a plus! Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current registration and car insurance. You provide and maintain appropriate maintenance work clothes & work shoes for various weather changes. Be computer literate, data entry, complete reports, check email, Word. Tentative schedule (approximately 20 hours/week. Closed on Friday/Saturdays however, you may be scheduled to pickup/clean grounds and set-up/breakdown tables & chairs for special indoor/outdoor events on either of those days. If you need to work a special event on a Friday or Saturday then another weekday will be substituted, as necessary) Usual schedule (schedule may be a little flexible with exact times on weekdays) Sunday 7am-1pm Mon or Tues and Thurs 12-4pm Wed 3pm-9pm Christmas Eve 12pm-9pm/Christmas Day (if on a Sunday 7am-1pm), New Year's Eve (on a weekday/Saturday approx. 3pm - 9pm) or, if on a Sunday, then 7am-1pm, New Year's Day (if on a Sunday), Easter Sunday (4:30am-1pm), Thanksgiving Eve approx. 3pm - 9pm (Evening before Thanksgiving Day). We are off many Federal Holidays on the Monday. More information will be shared pending interview. Salary $13-$20/hour based upon property management maintenance experience & skillsets level as noted above. EOE. E-Verify & Background/Sex Offender check required. No drug tolerance policy.
