Female, BULLDOG, AMERICAN, 9 years 8 months Maya is a sweet and gentle girl in search of a loving home. She is the kind of dog that just melts your heart the moment your eyes connect. She loves being around people and tossing her squeaky toys around, but she is also fairly low energy and enjoys snoozing. Now in foster care, this gentle girl is great with her foster's visiting 5-year-old grandson. She welcomes his hugging, snuggles and love and never reacts to his running around or zooming his remote cars by her. She's a house-trained girl who stands by the door to let it be known she needs to go out. She nicely free roams the house, never getting on the couch or bed, and just naps when her foster is away. She has arthritis in her legs and has been diagnosed with cancer, although shows no signs of it. Even so, she remains happy, sweet and full of life. She would really appreciate getting to be in a home where she could relax and get some rest.
