Hello good people! We need your help! We are saving dogs and want you to join us! Volunteers Needed for Freedom Rides, Supplies and Doggie Transports, HomeMade Food (we reimburse for ingredients), and Adoption Events Adoptions Shifts: 1-6, 1-3, or 3-6pm. Or, if you're available to help w/ transport only, we'll take it! Dogs need to arrive at 1:45 & supplies & dogs will be ready for pick-up @ 4:45. VOLUNTEER ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Helping with setup &/or teardown, Transporting dogs from their foster homes to the event, or back home afterward, Picking up donated dog food in Sun Valley & taking to Petco WeHo by 1pm, Refill water bowls, making sure dogs have treats & are comfortable, Walk dogs, Hang out w/ dogs, Cleanup. Fosters If you have experience and are comfortable with dogs (mainly large), sign up to foster a loving dog from Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue! Being accepted into our foster program is an extremely rewarding experience - you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance to be adopted! We provide - a bed, food, treats, toys, a leash, and a collar. Some of these dogs have never slept on a bed, been in a home, or even had a ready-for-them meal. Thank you! Transport We need volunteers to help out with transporting our dogs and supplies around different areas of Los Angeles. We are also in need of volunteers who have cats to help up perform cat tests on our dogs. It is completely safe for the cat and there will be no contact, we just need to see how the dog reacts while being on a leash near a cat. Emergency volunteers are also NEEDED. Do you have some days that you are completely free and want to be on-call as standby in the event of an animal emergency? Cook Food We think dogs should always have the most high-quality food. Homemade food can be so important for their bodies. We need volunteers that are able to make simple recipes (provided by us) so that we have enough food to provide to our rescued dogs in their foster homes. They can be dropped off in Pacific Palisades or brought to adoptions in West Hollywood. Receipts can be reimbursed! We are also seeking transport drivers, emergency standby volunteers, and foster homes for shelter animals in need.
