Deep within the park we approached each other on that gravel path. For no identifiable reason each of us cast shadows that were not our own. As we got closer our shadows merged then evaporated. The path is narrow which meant that when we passed each other we almost brushed shoulders. Moments later at the same moment we both looked back. Neither of us were there.
