Rehoming 7 month old Great Dane

Description

Hello! This is Blue. He is a 7 month old Great Dane looking for a new home. We adopted him from a rescue at 4 months old. He is the sweetest pup, but is not doing well with our cats and small dog (Yorkie). He is not mean to them by any means, but really doesn't understand his size and we are worried he is going to accidentally hurt them one day. While he does not do well with small dogs he does great with dogs similar to his size. His best friend is a lab. Blue is crate trained, house trained, knows simple commands (sit, lay down, and stay) and is neutered. He is a full blooded Great Dane, but we do not have papers on him as we got him from a rescue. We have been working with him on leash training. Currently he is probably close to 100lbs and the rescue thought he would eventually be anywhere from 100 to 130 lbs. It makes us really sad to have to rehome him and we really want him to go to the best home possible, preferably with someone who has a large dog for him to play with and a fenced in yard. If you have never owned a Great Dane the best way to think about him is he the Ferrari of all dogs. They have very sensitive stomachs and will require pricey food. He also will need surgery at one years old for bloat. Because of this we are asking a rehoming fee of $500 to ensure he is going to someone who will really care for him properly and can afford his daily care. For example he eats about $100 worth of food a month not including treats, vets bills, etc. With his rehoming fee he would come with his dog crate, toys, leash, elevated food bowls, puzzle bowl, and any food/treats we have for him.
