Help! Tree'd cat

We were looking to see if anybody could help us get a cat out of a tree that has been up there for 4 days it is not our cat but it has got to be getting weak and hungry and thirsty! We took our extension ladder and got up there the cat was about 8 ft from us with no branches to climb up and the cat wanted to come down was leaning towards us. Please give us a call to see if we can help this poor critter thank you! The fire department wouldn't do it and the tree places wanted 3 to $500 to come out. It's not our kitty but we hate to see it stuck up there like that.
