EXPANDING FACILITIES SERVICES COMPANY SEEKS RELIABLE HANDYMAN FOR COMMERCIAL SERVICE CALL JOBS IN METRO DFW. JOBS ARE HANDLED BETWEEN 8AM TO 5PM. Let's talk Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of coming week and explore possibilities. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO? >Handle service calls for our commercial clients around the DFW Metro Areas. HOW MUCH WILL YOU GET PAID? >Your pay will be $35.00 per hour AND we pay for needed materials. WHO IS THIS BEST SUITED FOR? >A Generalist Handyman who can handle multiple repair needs on an ON-CALL, AS NEEDED basis. This is IDEAL for someone who has flexibility and can handle fill in work in between other work. Great as supplemental income / work. WHAT DO YOU NEED? >Your own work transportation (truck or van) >Your own general and standard power tools >Ability to receive and print work orders >Have experience in general repairs (listed below) HOW DOES IT WORK? Select which way you want to work and get paid. OPTION 1: You are our employee for time you arrive to handle our service calls >>>You get vacation benefits >>>You get retirement benefits >>>You get to select dental or vision insurance at minimal co-pay >>>We supply uniform shirt >>>Pay is $32.00 Per Hour PLUS $3.00 Per Hour for Gas/Car Use = Total of $35.00 Per Hr. >>>Free direct deposit into your bank every 2 weeks. >>>Pay reviewed. >>>We pay for materials needed for the jobs. OPTION 2: You are an independent contractor >>>Must have General Liability insurance >>>Must have Worker's Comp or signed exemption waiver >>>W-9,1099 issued, you are responsible for your own taxes and retirement. >>>Pay is $32.00 Per Hour PLUS $3.00 Per Hour for Gas/Car Use = Total of $35.00 Per Hr. >>>Pay by Company Check every 2 weeks. >>>We pay for any materials needed for the job. Our company pays for needed supplies and materials for the job - NOT tools. We ask for 110% focus on our clients' needs, customer satisfaction and quality craftsmanship when doing our work. Service Calls are Typically Simple Jobs Like: - Fixing doors, cabinets, hinges, handles, simple woodwork, etc. - Fixing dental equipment and supply lines. - Fixing basic plumbing like clogs, flappers, flushing mechanisms, toilets, sinks, drains, faucets, filters, etc. - Basic electrical such as changing lights, ballasts, fixtures switches, outlets, switches and troubleshooting, etc. - Patching and fixing drywall, installing backing, prep and painting. - Fix minor flooring issues with carpeting, tile, VCT, transitions, etc. - General repairs and labor duties, hanging frames, moving furniture, etc. - Team player who can work independently. - Any Dental Equipment repair is a PLUS and offers additional income. Basic Requirements: - Must have experience, knowledge, skill and ability to perform a variety of general maintenance tasks. - High School degree or GED and at least 2 years of experience in handyman/maintenance tech work. - Candidates must be legally to work in the US and be over 21 years of age. - Candidates must have a clean and valid driver's license and clean background. - Must be presentable and have a professional demeanor with clients. Work is generally simple, 99% indoors, Mon-Fri. Typical basic service work order takes between 2.0 to 4.0 Hours. Some paid travel time may apply for certain areas.
