Description
Hello!
I am a school psychologist off for the summer, offering affordable childcare for children with Disabilities. I have a baby who has a disability, and have experience with unconventional equipment including oxygen and a feeding pump. Both my partner and I would be home with our baby, and potentially 1 or 2 more children.
A little bit about me, I have a B.A and M.A in psychology, as well as a doctorate in school psychology. I have worked with children for over 10 years. I have worked as a preschool teaching assistant in a special education classroom, a small group reading and math instructor, a group and individual counselor, behavior support provider, and currently work as a school psychologist.
I am able to provide care during the weekdays and potentially evenings and some weekends.
I know childcare can be costly, especially for a child with a disability. Hence why my partner stays home with our child during the school year. I am a compassionate, kind, patient, and nurturing individual who would treat your child with respect, while engaging them in educational activities, and keeping them safe.
We live near downtown Vancouver and have a medium size yard and play room. We have two small dogs (6 and 12lb chihuahua mixes).
The hourly rate will vary, depending on the number of days and hours you need, as well as the number of children. Please email me a little about you and your child, and to arrange a phone call to discuss your needs. Following the call, we can arrange a meet and greet and go from there! Looking forward to hearing from you.
