We are looking for just the right person to represent Maui Humane Society as a "HErO" in the Hana Community. The "HErO" provides a wide variety of services to the community and not just enforcement. This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours a week).
MHS will provide training, uniforms, equipment, a vehicle and some benefits associated with part-time employees.
Some duties include: serving as a resource to the community for animal needs; providing transports to/from MHS for animal and community resources; coordinating visits for the Maui Humane Staff; responding to animal emergencies or rescues. Humane Enforcement Officers operate as part of the enforcement team by conducting investigations and enforcement of State and County laws pertaining to animal control and animal cruelty. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Humane Enforcement (DHE) and Enforcement Supervisor.
