Mechanics Needed - 1st or 2nd Shift Unitex is currently seeking Mechanics for our state of the art plant in Mount Vernon, NY. Compensation: Up to $30 per hour Benefits: --Enhance your skill set no matter what level mechanic you are --On the job training --Sponsored training seminars at OEM factory locations. --Union position with benefits --Work uniforms are provided to you at no cost --Paid time off for vacation, personal, sick and holidays --Tremendous growth opportunity – we promote from within regularly --Competitive hourly rate --First or Second Shift Responsibilities: --Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing maintenance on various machines; following diagrams, machine manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions --Troubleshoots malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, discovering problems and making the repairs --Performs minor and major repairs --Handles preventative maintenance --Complies with company policies and procedures --Strives for safety --Team player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and proactively helps others when assistance is needed Mechanic Requirements: --As per company policy, must be fully COVID vaccinated or have started the vaccination process by their first day of employment. --1+ years of industrial mechanic experience --Automotive/aircraft/military experience is always welcomed and transitions easily to our environment --Recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply Advanced Mechanic Requirements: --Strong industrial maintenance experience working on large production machinery --Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance --Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, power transmission, steam systems, pumps, etc. --Understanding of PLCs To apply: Online at www.unitex.com/careers In person to for an immediate interview: Unitex 401 South MacQuesten Parkway Mt.
