Help us kick off the summer and commemorate Cornell Farm’s 35th year as a local, family-owned nursery in Portland’s west hills with an evening of live music, food, family-friendly activities, and more! We’ll be giving back with a benefit raffle for the Backyard Habitat Certification Program, featuring some awesome prizes donated by our partners across the community — many of whom will have booths set up at the event! Come say hi to these local artists, vendors, and organizations, and peruse their wares. Plus, be sure to purchase a few raffle tickets for the chance to win big-ticket items for your home and garden — all while supporting a good cause in the process! Activities Include: Live Music | 6:30 - 8:00 Experience the sounds of a Local Jazz Trio of talented students from PSU! Concessions | 6:00 - 8:00 Our Executive Chef Jakob Skomial will be firing up the grill to bring you a special menu featuring summery sliders — in both carnivore and herbivore variations — and a perfect assortment of beers, wines, teas, and more available for purchase. Garden Tours | TBD Walk our 1/4 acre display gardens around the Cafe with our matriarch and president, Deby Barnhart and see how some of our favorite plants look when planted out in the landscape! Terrarium Make & Take | 6:00 - 9:00 (while supplies last, separate purchase) Make your very own mini terrarium with a little help from Cornell Farm! Chalk Art & Hopscotch | 6:00 - 9:00 For the young and young at heart, grab a piece of chalk and show off your skill! Decorate the Farm with bees, flowers, suns, stars, and more! Benefit Raffle Drawing | 8:00 Stay tuned for more information on the prizes in our benefit raffle for the Backyard Habitat Certification Program. Tickets will be $5 each, or sold in packs of five for $20, and will be available for purchase in-store until the time of the drawing. General Tips: We are expecting an excellent turnout, so please carpool and/or use taxi/rideshare services, where possible. The Nursery will be open for shopping, but please be aware that there may be fewer team members available to answer questions. We are happy to hold purchased items for you until you're ready to leave, or for up to 24 hours if you need to pick them up the following day.
