Jobs

Berkeley CA

Description

Bay area based artisan food start-up is looking for help with product packaging! We're rapidly growing and will also be looking for longer term help as well in the near future. In the meantime, looking for someone to work short shifts with great compensation. Schedule: 3 to 5 days a week (between Monday and Friday) over the course of the next month or so. Shifts will be 4 hours long, most likely from 10-2 or 11-3. Pay: $25 to $30 per hour Location: West Berkeley Duties: -Primary duty will be to hand package salami by wrapping it in butcher paper and applying a label. Butcher paper wrapper must be smooth and tight, and the label straight and wrinkle free. This job has a learning curve, and will require a day or two of practice before you get the hang of it. -Other small duties may include building cardboard shipping boxes with insulated liners, or stamping logos on burlap bags. Qualifications: -Manual dexterity: this job does entail lots of repetitive motions, so be honest whether your hands, arms, and wrists can accommodate that. This is also the reason for the short shift length. -Strong preference given to those who have done similar types of packaging before. -Great attention to detail and pride in assisting us in creating a quality product. These salami get shipped around the country and displayed on grocery store shelves, so they need to be wrapped well and also look great! Respond by telling us any qualifications, skills, past jobs, or other reasons you'd be great at packaging!
