ENGLEWOOD, FL — A man and a woman face charges after fentanyl-laced methamphetamine were found on their sailboat in Englewood Thursday morning. Deputies served a warrant to their 35-foot-long boat, which was anchored near Stump Pass and Thorton Key, around 11:30 a.m., the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office shared in a news release. Gabriel Wagoner, 41, was taken into custody on a Sarasota County warrant for violation of probation. After this, deputies searched the vessel and found 32 grams of meth and an array of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said. Francis At, 37, was also taken into custody. Both were brought to the District 3 office, where At admitted to selling drugs for profit, CCSO said. "The arrest of these individuals has undoubtedly prevented numerous overdoses and the loss of lives. Overdoses are occurring far too often across the nation," Sheriff Bill Prummell said. "We will continue to clean up our community of dealers, and of the poison they push." Both Wagoner and At were charged with amphetamine trafficking more than 14 grams possession or use of drug paraphernalia. Wagoner was also charged with violation of probation and At was charged with methamphetamine possession with intent to sell.
