Description

In this workshop we will embroider the Summer Bouquet sampler, and use color to create dimension in our embroidery. Join us at the inventor center as Shannon Kelly guides us through the process of refining our embroidery stitches. In this workshop we will use stitches like satin stitch, lazy daisy stitch, fishbone stitch, french knots and more! We will also learn how to finish an embroidery hoop with felt for display. Tools and materials used include embroidery needles, embroidery floss, wooden 6 inch hoop, and canvas fabric. This is a great stand-alone class, and is also one of the recommended prerequisites to Shannon's more advanced bookbinding workshops to come! No prior embroidery experience is required.
