Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) has announced that John O’ Grady, Scott Miller and Kevin Shacter have joined the board of directors. John O’Grady is co-founder of and executive producer for Bob Industries, an award-winning film production company based in Santa Monica, California which specializes in commercials, films and music videos. A former Grammy® Award nominee, O’Grady’s work has received numerous awards, including Cannes Lions, MTV, One Show Pencils, AICP, and one of his Super Bowl commercials was ranked #1 by USA Today. O’Grady has also been credited as associate producer for acclaimed films including Nightmare Alley, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, The Shape Of Water, JoJo Rabbit, Ready or Not, Wild, Ruby Sparks, Gifted, Tide, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Being Dennis, Black Nativity, Broken, Downhill and more. Scott Miller is the Dean of Arts, Humanities, Communication & Design at Broward College in Davie. Miller holds a B.A. in graphic design from James Madison University and a master’s in art (printmaking) from University of Florida. Miller previously served on the design advisory board for distance learning at the University of California San Diego and as a board member of the Advertising Federation of Greater Fort Lauderdale and Southern Graphics Council. Kevin Shacter is Senior Fiduciary Officer at The Northern Trust Company on a Wealth Management Team located in Fort Lauderdale. Shacter holds a B.A. degree from Brandeis University and earned his J.D. from Emory School of Law and LLM in taxation from the University of Florida Graduate Tax Program. He is also a member of the Jewish Federation of Broward County and a board member of Boystown Jerusalem.
