Acquire the skills to re-weave your antique chair seat! Join demonstrator and craftsman Kermit Rood at the Foxfire Museum for a day-long workshop on chair bottoming. Students will need to bring their own chair to reseat. The chair needs to be in good structural condition. When enrolling, please email [email protected] with the chair seat type - rush, cane, or reed (pictured) - and size of seat with subject heading "Chair Bottoming Class (Date)". Cost of class does not include materials; material cost will be provided after the following information is provided to instructor. A two-week advance enrollment is necessary to procure class materials. Please bring your own lunch and water.
