Man Dies After Falling Into Water In Nassau

MERRICK, NY — A 53-year-old man died after falling into the Merrick Friday morning, Nassau police said. According to police, officers responded to 1944 Bayberry Ave. around 10:18 a.m. Officers, with the assistance of several good Samaritans, located the man and pulled him onto the dock, where he was pronounced dead by a Merrick Fire Department EMT, police said. The investigation is ongoing. No other information has been released.
