At its heart, the FLG Listening Room series is an opportunity for artists to be heard and audiences to listen. Our Listening Room is an event distinct from your average concert — with unique aesthetics, immersive acoustics, and heartfelt performances from secret artists that we’re sure you’ll love! The featured artist this time around is one of Flagstaff’s most on-the-rise performers: Dead Bugh. Dead Bugh is a one man band, complete with a kick drum suitcase and telephone microphone. We first saw “Bugh” opening mics all over downtown Flagstaff in August of 2021 — and since then he/she/they has built a loving community, performed in venues across northern Arizona, and recently toured SoCal with Prescott’s own punk band Vacant Skies! And while the low tuned, fuzzy-yet-dreamy guitar riffs, haunting synth solos, and radio-static vocals can be a bit jarring to most listeners at first — Dead Bugh’s vulnerable lyrics combine with his unique set-up to form truly relatable and catchy songs that stick with you. It’s definitely something you’re not likely to hear from anyone else anytime soon! 😉 Bugh is one of our favorite musicians right now and we’re proud to present you their music!! Doors open at 8:15pm and the performance will start at 9pm, and go for apx. 45 minutes. Also, as we are filming the event live for YouTube, please remain quiet and keep phone use to an absolute minimum during the performance out of respect for our artists and our film crew. Light snacks, drinks, and floor seating will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) and get comfy for a special night of music.
