WAUKESHA, WI — Sephora is opening inside the Kohl's clothing store in Waukesha this summer. Waukesha is one of 16 Wisconsin cities where the makeup retailer will open. Kohl's at 2130 E. Moreland Boulevard will host a new Sephora in summer of 2022, the company announced. Each Sephora at Kohl's will span 2,500 square feet at the front of the store. This area will mimic a stand-alone Sephora, featuring a similar appearance and inventory. Employees will offer beauty consultations to recommend skin, hair and fragrance products. Customers can test these items to see what best fits their style. "We've always had the intention to keep the Sephora at Kohl's beauty assortment as relevant and similar to our freestanding Sephora stores as possible," Sephora's executive vice president Artemis Patrick said in a statement. "We want every customer who comes to Sephora at Kohl's to be able to discover new brands and find their favorites, just like they do at our other Sephora stores." Kohl's launched its partnership with Sephora last fall, opening 200 locations in the first batch. The clothing chain will open another 400 stores across 36 states. Including the Waukesha location, Kohl's will open these shops in 16 Wisconsin cities. This is the second round of Sephora locations to open in Wisconsin — stores opened in several cities including Brookfield and Menomonee Falls in 2021. A total of 13 stores opened last year. Kohl's hopes to have a Sephora in 850 stores by 2023. "We're thrilled to be bringing Sephora at Kohl's closer to millions more of our customers nationwide," Kohl's chief merchandising officer Doug Howe said in a statement. "The quick and vast rollout of Sephora at Kohl's is a testament to how much we believe in this partnership and making prestige beauty more accessible to people everywhere." Jacob Baumgart, Patch staff, contributed to this article.
