ENGLEWOOD, NJ — An auto theft suspect "intentionally struck" an Englewood police car in a police pursuit early Thursday, causing the officer to crash, the Englewood Police Department said in a news release Thursday. The officer, who was not identified, was not seriously injured, police said. The crash took place as police responded to a report of a car theft in a residential neighborhood, police said. The suspect fled the area, and officers pursued him, police said. Police asked anyone with information to contact 201-568-4875.
