ANNAPOLIS, MD — A boat fire burned multiple vessels Thursday evening at an Annapolis marina, county officials announced. A press release said nobody was hurt in the accidental blaze, which likely started after an electrical malfunction. Authorities estimated that the flames caused $305,000 in damage at Podickory Point Yacht & Beach Club. Multiple callers reported the fire at 2116 Bay Front Terrace around 8:28 p.m. The blaze started on a 40-foot boat tied to the pier, officials said. First responders said they found two boats engulfed in flames. The fire spread to three vessels and two finger piers, the release said. A team of 69 firefighters extinguished the one-alarm blaze in about three hours.
