Press release from the City of Louisville: June 8, 2022 Pet owners must sign up in advance online for an appointment Louisville – Councilwoman Amy Holton Stewart (D-25) is excited to team up with the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) to provide a free pet vaccine clinic in District 25 on Tuesday, June 21. The new KHS CARE-a-van mobile veterinary clinic will be at the Walmart parking lot on Outer Loop from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The councilwoman is a dog owner and is thrilled to sponsor this pet wellness event for KHS in District 25. "I love my pets so much, and I know how important it is to take care of their health with regular vaccinations," said Councilwoman Holton Stewart. "As families' budgets get tighter, I'm glad that we can partner with KHS to alleviate some of that financial stress with these free vaccines for your beloved fur babies." The following vaccines and services will be offered for free: The free dog and cat food will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last. "We are thrilled to partner with Councilwoman Holton Stewart to bring the KHS CARE-a-van to District 25 to help make sure local pet owners have access to basic veterinary care," said Kat Rooks, Kentucky Initiatives Director with KHS. "Her generous sponsorship will help ensure that financial resources do not prevent pets in her district from receiving the care they need to stay healthy."
