Press release from the City of Johnston: June 6, 2022 The first annual Family Fest at the Johnston Town Center was a success. Families enjoyed balloon animals by Toby Twist, an interactive magic show, Cubbie from the Iowa Cubs, and free books from the Johnston Public Library. Events that occurred throughout the day included; a splash pad, inflatables, yard games, face painting, visiting with the Johnston Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department and Johnston Police Department, and food trucks.
