Description

WESTCHESTER, CA — Loyola Marymount University is returning live, free Shakespeare on the Bluff performances following a two-year hiatus. On June 24 and 25 at 8 p.m., the university will put on two performances of "Julius Caesar" at the Drollinger Family stage on the Westchester campus. On July 22 and 23, they will perform "The Tempest." The shows will feature more than 30 performers, including LMU undergraduate and graduate students. All performances are free and family friendly, and audience members are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to watch performances under the stars. The very definition of theatre is that it's live, and the performers and the audience are all in the same space together," LMU Theatre Arts Professor and Shakespeare on the Bluff Artistic Director Kevin Wetmore said in a statement. "And that's what I missed on Zoom, that sort of immediate feedback from the people watching." See here to RSVP.
