Olivia Owens (6 years old) is a cancer fighting Super Hero! Olivia was recently diagnosed with DIPG. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a brain tumor that is highly aggressive and difficult to treat. It occurs in an area of the brainstem called the pons, which controls many of the body's most vital functions such as breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate. Because of its location in the brain and how rapidly it progresses, fewer than 10% of children survive two years from diagnosis. At this time, there is no cure. Please help support Olivia and her family's journey along with spreading awareness.
We ask all participates to write a message for Olivia on the paper bag provided along with placing the battery operated tea-light candle on the day of the event. These bags will be place along the track and collected at the end of the event to be delivered to her directly.
