OSWEGO, IL — During Oswego police's Memorial Day "Click It or Ticket" enforcement, officers issued a total of 57 citations, officials announced Thursday.
The recent traffic campaign, which lasted from May 13 to May 31, focused on reminding drivers to buckle up when driving. Although Illinois's seat belt compliance rate is 93.5 percent, and wearing a seat belt can reduce the risk of a fatal injury by about 45 percent, according to police.
