Press release from Washoe County Sheriff: June 7, 2022 Washoe County Sheriff's Office continues efforts to reduce distracted driving by participating in Joining Forces campaign As part of ongoing efforts to reduce easily avoidable crashes and tragedies on Nevada's roadways, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office is joining forces with other Nevada law enforcement agencies to heighten enforcement, and awareness, of the state's distracted driving laws. From June 3rd to June 20th, 2022, the Sheriff's Office, along with other regional law enforcement partners, will dedicate extra deputies to specifically look for distracted drivers.
