BERKELEY, CA —A person was fatally struck by an Amtrak train Friday morning near the South Aquatic Park parking lot, the Berkeley Police Department said. Officers at around 6:50 a.m. received a report of a person being struck by an Amtrak train, police said. Amtrak police are investigating the collision. No additional information was immediately available.
