Essential Job Functions Leads on-site installations to ensure timely completion, high quality of service and cost effective management of dealer labor and installation resources. Functions as crew leader on smaller projects and works under the direction a field supervisor on large projects. Personal and Interpersonal Skills: - Can train installers and instruct temporary help/trainee employees - Is comfortable and professional with crew and customers; is professional in appearance and in manners - Has good oral and written communication skills - Provides leadership and has respect of crews - Has strong work ethic and very ethical approach to the business; is punctual and self-motivated Technical and Product Skills: - Understands installation scope of work and processes - Can read plans, blueprints, elevations and product specifications - Is mechanically adept and knows how to safely use tools and equipment - Is skilled at installation of furniture, resulting in projects with good workmanship and high quality that meet the dealership’s field standards of performance consistently - Can do all technical installation operations well, including—wall strips, field measuring, in-line step down modifications, product repairs, simple field cuts and product modifications, etc. - Is product knowledgeable across all major lines of furniture carried by the dealer - Can specify product and do small inventories; understands correct product application and use - Is knowledgeable of electricity and electrical hookups to building power; can interface with electricians and cabling subcontractors Responsibility and Decision-Making Skills: - Takes ownership for project results and details—follows through to project finish - Capable of reacting to varying project/field conditions and able to make decisions to solve problems and changes in the scope of work Administrative Skills: - Understands and follows through with consistent and accurate paperwork—detailed time sheets, client sign-offs, punch list items, change orders, product return forms, inventory check-out, etc. - Paperwork is neat, clear, intelligible and complete - Communicates project status, problems and punch-list in writing to dispatch, sales personnel and sales support, and to project management personnel Project and Installation Management Skills: - Can plan, organize and effectively direct a crew of installers on projects with various stations - Understands the diversity of different project and properly prepares for them by: - Pursuing project details and drawings - Assisting scheduling and manpower loading for the project - Work planning for field conditions, technical complexities and task-to-time efficiencies - Can manage crews of installers - Can function as a crew chief under a field supervisor on large or complex projects - Can pre-plan small to medium sized projects, including field measurements and site reviews - Can analyze project for correct tool, supply, equipment and vehicle requirements, as well as small parts and product pulls from warehouse - Can punch and close-out a project, using proper procedures and forms Other Technical Skills: - Comfortable driving a bobtail or cube truck and can do so safely - Understands furniture material handling and logistical processes - Can receive and document receipt of product in a thorough and accurate manner Benefits for full-time employees includes: - Unlimited PTO - Company Paid Health Insurance - Company profit sharing to 401k - Paid training (when applicable) - Participation in bonus pool Requirements - Ability to lift 75lbs. - Clean driving record - Able to pass a drug test - Able to pass a background check - Ability to work overtime when necessary (up to 60 hours/week) - Furniture installation or construction experience preferred - COVID-19 vaccination required *Please submit name, contact information, and resume to apply.*
