Do you have a competitive family that enjoys family-friendly activities, such as walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, golfing, swimming, tennis, and more? If you answered yes, On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, our charity, Eco Ed Impact Corp (EEIC), will team up with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)to commemorate Family Health and Fitness Day by hosting a Calories for Carbon™ Challenge! The challenge's goal is to bring awareness to good health and well-being, climate change, and to help families reduce their carbon footprint. The challenge will also help us fundraise for Sustainable Homes and Families™, a program created to help families achieve sustainability one zip code at a time. EEIC is working towards zip-zero poverty, zip-zero hunger, zip-zero poor health, and excessive energy consumption for families. We invite you and your family to join us in the Calories for Carbon™ Challenge! You can do fun and free activities to "Use Your Energy For Good™" on this day. Each participating group in the challenge will pledge to burn 500 calories individually or 2000 calories as a group. You will receive a Calorie for Carbon t-shirt and an opportunity to win a gift card from one of our sponsors if you or your family completes its pledge and fundraiser goals. At EEIC, we value our community and are excited to meet others who feel the same! Celebrate Family Health and Fitness Day at your local park, beach, or green space. You can also join us onsite at either Dr. Von D. Mizell - Eula Johnson State Park in Broward County or Curry Hammock State Park in Monroe County, Florida. Our goal is to burn 120,000 calories on June 11th collectively. We hope you'll get out and join other residents in making this Family Health and Fitness Day a success!
