Description

Event Description: Join us this spring/summer (date TBD) as we gather with community members and professionals to 1) discuss specific ways your own neighborhood can be more wildfire prepared, including building emergency preparedness, community connections, and addressing insurance needs, and 2) walk through a City of Boulder neighborhood together to identify strengths and opportunities of homes for fire resistance based on the City's curbside assessment tool. This will be an opportunity to have casual conversations with other residents, homeowners and wildfire professionals. Bring your walking shoes, water and questions for this 2 hour event! The specific date and time of this event will be determined soon. Please register to receive further details (location, date, time) for this event. If your HOA is interested in having this tour in your area, please reach out to: [email protected]. This event is free to the public, but donations are appreciated to continue our outreach initiatives like these (donate here). This webinar is part three of a three part learning series. After the recent Marshall Fire, The Boulder Watershed Collective in partnership with The Northern Colorado Fireshed Collaborative and The Center for Sustainable Landscapes and Communities wants to be responsive to the voices and concerns we have heard from local communities. In this learning series, we hope to shine a light on potential impacts and adaptations moving forward from this devastating fire. Sign up for one or all three of these events to learn about what you can do to adapt to living in fire prone grassland and forested ecosystems.
