California is number one in both gun controls and active shooter incidents (Let's not even talk about Chicago). The data prove that more gun laws will not work. Some but not all California laws follow: Universal background checks School "Gun Free" zones An “assault weapons” ban A “high capacity” magazine ban 10-day waiting period on gun purchases Red flag laws Gun registration requirements "Good Reason" requirements for concealed carry permit Ban on carrying a gun on a college campus for self-defense Ban on K-12 teachers being armed on campus for classroom defense Background check requirement for ammunition purchases Limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can purchase in a given month All you would do is penalize law abiding citizens while allowing the criminals to be armed. Because we know how criminals follow the law!
