Friday July 1, 2022 Age Group: 8-12 Check-in: 8:30 am Audition: 9:00 amAge Group: 18-23 Check-in: 8:30 am Audition: 9:00 amAge Group: 13-17 Check-in: 9:30 am Audition: 10:00 am*All times are subject to changeFIRST ROUND: In the first-round of Featured Singer auditions, you will be asked to sing acapella (without music) a song of your choice for no longer than 45 seconds which demonstrates your vocal ability. You may play an instrument (like a guitar) if you wish. Judges will be looking for pitch, rhythm, tone quality, and overall performance delivery. At the completion of your first round, we will notify the individuals that have advanced to the second round. SECOND ROUND: The top individuals will be invited back for a second round of Featured Singer auditions that afternoon. We will let you know the time of callbacks the day of your audition. During the second round, we will extensively evaluate both your singing and dancing abilities. We will ask you to perform the following: A 45 second acapella rendition of a song that demonstrates your vocal ability. This can be the same song that you sang in the First Round. A 45 second acapella rendition of a potential song from our show. We encourage you to listen to the original recordings on the Spotify playlist linked below. We have outlined which songs are designated for Male/Female and those songs specifically geared to our younger auditionees; however, we welcome you to sing any song on the list that you feel showcases your style, range, and overall vocal ability.You will also be taught a short dance routine so we can assess your dancing abilities.In addition to the dance routine, you may also perform a 60-second freestyle dance routine to either Come Sail Away by Styx or Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, if you consider yourself an advanced dancer.
