To get involved, please email in advance to Michael - [email protected] *This event is in addition to our Songwriters Series happening at Outdoorsy first Thursdays of the month! basic info Michael Ryan via iAM MUSIC Presents the Gathering @ the Monk 2nd / 4th Thursdays 6-8 Hosted by Mike Sells First official launch is 2/24 what the Gathering @ the Monk a discussion panel with performance in the style of a traditional writers circle is where storyteller meets songwriter more about Interview 2-4 guest artists starting with a list of predetermined questions. Host asks questions related to the creative aspects of songwriting and an individual's personal experiences followed by the artist performing an original song of their choosing and explaining the origins and process behind it. Follow the same format to the next guest and then start over until all questions and songs are completed by each artist. Depending on remaining time, open the floor to the audience for questions and comments, always staying open to being flexible on the process and going with the flow of the moment.
