AMA Graphics & Displays (AMA). is a full-service design and production company in Middle Village, NY where we specialize in large format printing, and custom fabrication. Established on a foundation of commitment, teamwork, and integrity; we at AMA seek to personify these qualities by servicing our clients through impeccable print and design solutions. Such services as design and management, site surveys, and floor plans to concepts, printing, fabrication, and installation. In this role, you will be required to fabricate, assemble, and install high quality custom displays and structures. Working from shop drawings, production orders, and other job related duties verbally assigned by Management. Your schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, off Saturday and Sunday. The ongoing needs of client projects dictate shift and/or schedule changes which are at the discretion of upper management. You will earn an hourly rate to be paid on a weekly basis by direct deposit. Requirements: • Builds and installs exhibit displays, graphics/signage, pedestals and supporting elements from a variety of materials including but not limited to: wood, acrylic, PVC, glass, foam, metals, and fabrics • Works from shop drawings, production orders • Realize deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required • Practices safe utilization of power tools and other shop equipment • Clean driving record • Drive and operate Cargo Van/Sprinter • Assist with loading/unloading of materials and substrates • Transports work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck etc. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management and project demands • Understanding of a range of materials and tool/equipment: (e.g. table saw, drill press, router, etc.) • Ability to read, understand, and implement shop drawings • Proficiency with standard finishing techniques • 4 years of carpentry experience and/or equivalent background • Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn other fabrication techniques • Knowledge of types of substrates used in the industry • Forklift experience a plus • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the day • Dependability; listening and communication skills
