Larry Bagneris is Houston LGBTQ icon. He is responsible for originating the city’s first Pride parade in 1979. He was also the first elected Black president of what is now the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus. On this night, during Pride month, we will celebrate his achievements and show gratitude to him for his countless contributions to our city in the fight for equity and inclusion.
